NEW! NEW! NEW! "Coiled Art With Pine Needles - Revised Edition"
This new booklet contains the entire original Coiled Art text and illustrations, including Basics for Beginners. It also includes everything new that I've learned over the years. It explains how to use both artificial sinew or raffia as a binder, how to deal with any insert type, how to preserve a basket, how to dye needles, how to construct lids, how to shape, how to make extensions and handles, how to create teneriffe, how to add beads, illustrated stitch glossary. My price, $10.50, includes shipping. Sale price for direct PayPal and mail orders, $10.00 (temporary sale price $9.50, $9.00 for direct PayPal and mail order) How to order Material suppliers |
"Coiled Art With Pine Needles and Raffia"
This comprehensive booklet is a compilation of the next three. It is also contained, in its entirety, in the new Coiled Art revision described above (don't buy both books). It is professionally printed, grayscale, with outstanding clarity. This publication is exceptionally thorough and complete in its presentation of coiled basketry. It covers everything a beginner needs, to progress from basics to complicated lid making, teneriffe weaving, stitching variations, shaping. Clearance price, $8.50 $6.00, includes shipping. "Tips and Tricks on Pine Needle Coiling"
Discontinued - please see "Coiled Art" My first
booklet on pine needle basketry is a compilation of many of the pages of my web site,
plus some extra stuff on figure eight starts. I wrote it simply because it's
much easier to sit down with a bunch of pine needles and stitching material and
look at a booklet than it is to look at a web site. Also, some web pages just
don't print very well.
| "Pine Needle Basics for Beginners"
Discontinued - please see "Coiled Art" Many people who
inquired about my first booklet were actually looking for something to get them
started rather than tips for somewhat experienced coilers. Out of these
inquiries came my new booklet. It covers the following topics: choosing
appropriate pine needles, raffia, and sewing needles, material preparation,
detailed figure eight start, stitching concepts, shaping a basket, ending a
basket, fitting a lid, hiding raffia ends, pinecone knobs, much more. All
content is entirely new and not found on my web pages. |
"STITCH GLOSSARY for Pine Needle Basketry"
Discontinued - please see "Coiled Art" This new
item contains the illustrations on my Stitch Glossary
page plus much more explanatory text. It's designed to be a reference tool
for basket makers. |
 "Birch Bark Quill Box Primer"
This is a primer. It will provide you with the basics of quill box construction that I was unable to find published elsewhere. I learned it through examination of boxes, experimentation, trial and error, a lot of pondering, and the few instructions I was able to find on the subject. This publication's aim is to save you all the grief I experienced. Grayscale. My price, $6.50, includes shipping. Sale price $6.00 for direct PayPal and mail orders. How to order Material suppliers

MORE ORDERING INFORMATION
PRINTING: Because volume is low and highly variable, I print my personal patterns and pamphlets with my inkjet printer as they are ordered. My inkjet printer is not 100% reliable. It gets quirky for a variety of reasons, resulting in smudges, mirror imprints, and some color shifting in the graphics. I make certain everything I send out is legible and understandable. I apologize for this problem.
IMPORTANT: I've discontinued three publications because Coiled Art covers the same topics, the same way. If ordering stones plus other things, stones must always be shipped Priority so be sure to select "Priority $4.00" with any stone order, but do not add $3.35 for Priority shipping of other products with your stone order. I'll ship everything together, and the one Priority charge covers all of it. If you do overpay me, I will always reimburse.
VENDORS: Please contact me with inquiries regarding wholesale prices for bulk orders. Indicate the publications you are interested in and include counts, business information and URL in the "message" field. Thank you.
Though sending cash is not usually recommended (I don't do it),
I like receiving it because it saves me a trip to the bank to cash checks. When
people send cash, I acknowledge receipt immediately and also ship immediately
(next postal day). If you send cash, please wrap it in a sheet of paper so it can't be
seen through the envelope.
Money orders, including postal, which are available at your local post
office, are nice too. I ship within a day or two when payment is received via a
money order. Never mail me credit card numbers.

Note: My publications are created with MS Word and Paint Shop Pro. They
are then printed with an HP DeskJet or Lexmark Z32 printer (except "Coiled Art" and "Birch Primer"). Covers
are 65 lb. card stock, pages are 20 or 24 lb. inkjet. Full color illustrations.
Sorry, I do not email the .doc files.
PRINT QUALITY: My printer sometimes gives me grief. I do let some streaked stuff pass, provided it is completely legible.
