This is one of my earliest works, knitted from an ancient, out of print pattern, Peer Gynt "Balestrand" No. 1316 S. It was also my first attempt at cutting, which went quite smoothly. Prior to this sweater, I had worked only jumpers, and knitted back and forth to shape. The idea of cutting was just too frightening. But now that I've perfected it, all fear is gone.
