Prince Christian Valdemar Henri John of Denmark was born 15 Oct. 2005 and was wrapped in this same type of shawl. Now his new baby sister enjoys the privilege.

Shetland-type lace shawl worked with fingering weight wool. I knitted this back in 1984 and wrapped my babies in it. There are absolutely no mistakes in this knitting. I worked this from an ancient and barely readable mimeograph of a 1940s publication.
