Our second outing will be picturesque Door County. Though we likely won't have time for all the destinations, I'm aiming for: Eagle Bluff and Cana Island lights, Ellison Bluff, Cave Point, Porte des Mortes (Death's Door) at Northport, Newport beach and spring, maybe Potawatomi Park .

There will be a $5.00 charge to cover gas. Also, we will have lunch at a restaurant, so please bring appropriate funds. I encourage you to dress appropriately for these outings. Walking some distances will be required at times. Hiking or sturdy walking shoes should be brought along as a second pair of shoes, as they might get quite muddy. We'll keep them in a box so as not to mess up the vehicle's carpeting.

Though not required, I encourage the use of a tripod for serious photographers. Those with digital cameras will find tripods especially useful because digital lacks the sharpness of film cameras; a tripod compensates nicely.

Traveling will be in the Arnoldussens' '99 Chev Suburban. It seats eight, with lots of trunk space for equipment, many creature comforts, AC controls for passengers, adequate leg room. It's also an SUV, so handles the backroads nicely. We bought it so our long children wouldn't be miserable during family vacations. You won't be miserable either.

Future destinations may include Rural and the Chain-o'-Lakes, Lake Michigan shore, maybe the Wolf River Dells/Menominee Reservation.

If you're experiencing some difficulty learning your camera's capabilities, bring your instruction book and I will try to help you out.
